Abstract

Magnetic reversal in single-crystal films of Fe1-xCox on Sc1-yEryAs/GaAs(100) was studied by tuning the relative strength of the uniaxial anisotropy. The surface miscut and external field geometry were used to induce several changes in the magnetization reversal process. The Kerr magneto-optical effect was used to measure both components of the magnetization during the reversal process.
