Abstract
The application of advances in CAD/CAM to dentistry, especially in the fabrication of dental prostheses is discussed. The major developments in this field are described. Work of three major groups that have been actively involved in devising automated systems, the French, the Swiss, and a group at Minnesota, is discussed. The three systems are compared.
