Abstract
A case of ureteral injury resulting from cold-knife conization was performed for a microinvasive adenocarcinoma of the cervix. After the procedure, the patient developed severe right lower quadrant and right flank pain. Removing the right hemostatic suture from the cervix after having demonstrated partial right ureteral entrapment relieved the pain. The procedures used for hemostasis after cold-knife conization are reviewed.
