Abstract

Due to the huge bandwidth, ultra-wideband (UWB) signals can provide much higher localization and ranging accuracy in comparison to traditional narrowband signals. In order to exploit this capability, various UWB based localization and ranging techniques have been proposed and investigated in recent years. In this paper, these techniques are briefly introduced and compared to provide an overview of UWB based localization and ranging techniques.
