Abstract
A major issue for economists is whether information systems testing alternative hypotheses will obtain results that are consistent. This study compares one measure of change in the labor market, entrants and exits by state, across three widely used United States federal government data bases. Direct and indirect statistical tests were implemented both cross-sectionally and over time to test the comparability of the data.
