Abstract
Orians & Pearson (1979) present models of optimal behaviour for central place foragers. The models for single-prey and multiple-prey loaders are superficially similar, but fundamentally different. The similarity appears to have led Orians & Pearson to a mistake in the formulation of the single-preyloader model. We present the correct form of the graphical solution and discuss one of its implications.
