Abstract

The design of a 10 GHz low pass, low loss, slow-wave CPW periodic filter after Sor et al. was implemented using two Low Temperature Cofired Ceramic (LTCC) dielectric materials (951 and 943 Green Tape™) with gold and silver screen printed and Fodel® photopatterned cofired and post fired conductors. The material tradeoffs are reviewed and the test results compared to circuit simulations performed using SONNETÆ software. Comparisons and discussion of filter performance for the material and patterning variations are made.
