Electronic compensation of fiber nonlinearity for 40 Gb/s WDM transmission systems

Abstract

We propose and analyze a novel signal processing technique to compensate fiber nonlinearity in 40G b/s long-haul WDM transmission systems. Our analysis shows that our technique can increase the overall system margin by >1.0 dB.
