Abstract

Design parameters of a working 4 bar linkage are outlined. Experimental time response data acquisition system capable of gathering real time position, velocity, and torque data is detailed. Mechanism time response charactertistics are monitored before and after strategic addition of spring forces to coupler link. Some of the pitfalls of experimental time response measurement are outlined.
