Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis.

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Discusses hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for hydroelectric power station planning. Lists typical studies involved in hydropower potential assessment, and feasibility assessment and facility design. Outlines techniques for determination of the flow duration curve and adjustment of gauge data, headwater curve estimation and development of a tailwater curve. Examples include studies of various dams on the Mississippi, and elsewhere, in Minnesota, U.S.A. (C.J.U.)
