Abstract

We describe a camera architecture that is capable of high resolution imagery generated by a completely planar device. The camera utilizes grating coupled waveguides and scanning to selectively couple light from object points in the far-field. We discuss specific design parameters for maximizing resolution, and demonstrate the imaging performance of the camera on selected objects.
