Abstract

The effects of a one-time solid beef manure application on soil P dynamics, P uptake by corn, and P losses in snowmelt and rainfall runoff under moldboard plow (P) and ridge tillage (RT) systems were studied. Soil P and P uptake was higher in the manure treated plots than in untreated plots. Particulate P losses by rainfall runoff were lower from the RT than MP systems. The dissolved molybdate reactive P losses in snowmelt runoff were higher from the RT than MP systems.
