Abstract

During the course of research on better methods for assessing gait, a system for tracking body limbs segments was developed. Measurements are based on the intersection of three laser planes which define the coordinates of a target photodetector attached to the limb. This paper discusses the system configuration and components, calibration, triangulation error associated with target motion and clock frequency effect.
