Abstract

Combining multi-source cooperation and link-adaptive regenerative techniques, we develop a novel protocol capable of achieving diversity up to the number of cooperating users and larger coding gains without incurring the overhead of cyclic redundancy check (CRC) codes. The resulting protocol can be further optimized to take advantage of the information provided by CRC when available. Simulations confirm our theoretical assessments.
