Abstract

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) is widely adopted as a way to reach flexible integration of enterprise system, and Event Driven Architecture (EDA), which enables complex event processing as well as asynchronized communication among systems, is also attracting more attentions. The deployment of such an environment makes it possible for organization to improve interoperability and agility, and brings about new challenges to the maintenance and evaluation of thewhole system at the same time. The paper first analyzes problems retrieved from a real engineering scenario, and proposes the MAPLE approach to implement two-level abstraction by reusing and reconfiguring of business and technical patterns. As showed by a legacy system integration experience in a Textile and clothing manufacture company, it provides a practical route to achieving maintenance and evolution of the EDSOA (Event Driven SOA)-based enterprise application.
