Abstract
In this study, we have measured the charge levels on airborne dusts resulting from fracturing of various coal and rock samples. The samples were fractured by means of a hydraulic press under a controlled laboratory condition. The measured particle size and charge distributions are in reasonable agreement with those obtained in the field measurements.
