Abstract

An algorithmic approach to spectral factorization based on the classical Schur algorithm has been pursued in several recent publications. The existing results deal with a nondegenerate case where the matrix-valued function to be factored is nonsingular, i.e., on the boundary of the domain of analyticity. This work addresses the general case. The discussion is restricted to spectral factorization on the unit scale δD.
