Abstract
Several different experiments were performed, in an effort to settle the question of possible effects of condensation nuclei multiplication when solution droplets evaporate. NaCl was used and the size range covered was 0.04-0.7 μm. The results were clearly negative. It was found that the variation of atomizer outputs when changing the solute concentration could be attributed to higher thresholds of counters than usually accepted.
