Abstract

pV3 is a parallel/distributed interactive visualization system suited for three dimensional modeling of astrophysics and computational fluid dynamics problems. The system minimizes the amount of network traffic between the MPP and the workstation by using a data object which a high level of parallelism. A Cartesian model is then generated using the data object to visualize the process under study. The system has been used in the solution of a heat convection problem with satisfactory results.
