Abstract

(Figure Presented) Pillaring with perfection: The construction of molecular pillars in layered materials (see scheme) while preserving the three-dimensional crystallinity enables the creation of porous structures with a narrow pore-size distribution. This method opens up a route to prepare composite materials with unusual combinations of properties.
