Abstract

The incoherent quasielastic neutron (QENS) and depolarized Rayleigh (DRS) light scattering techniques were used to measure the segmetnal relaxation in disordered stryrene-isoprene tetrablock copolymers. The relaxation of the polyisoprene (PI) blocks was slower than in bulk PI by approximately an order of magnitude, in comparison with the several order of magnitude increased in the bulk viscosity as the polystyrene (PS) composition increased. It was expected that pertransitional composition fluctuaion made at most minor contribution to the heterogeneity.
