Abstract

A rectifier circuit which draws sinusoidal input current from the line is described and its experimental implementation is discussed. The circuit uses a zero-voltage switching technique to reduce switching losses. The advantages and disadvantages of such a circuit compared with those of conventional input current shaping circuits are listed.
