Abstract

This chapter addresses the comprehensive strategies that are needed to implement sustainable gerontological curricular change on a program level. It begins with a brief review of select literature on organizational and curricular change, including strategies for changing gerontological curricula. Then, after drawing from the literature on principles for change, it outlines and illustrates the major considerations that should inform the change process: planning, implementing, and institutionalizing an aging-rich curriculum.
