World Wide Web use becoming more common in paper industry

Research output: Contribution to specialist publicationArticle

Abstract

The growing integration of computer technology at work and home has been instrumental to the explosive growth of the Internet and the World Wide Web. The paper and pulp industry is very active on the Web. It gives them a chance to reach the general public much less expensively than taking out advertisements in several different places. It gives them a chance to answer the questions the public may have about the environmental impacts of a paper mill and to educate the public about commonly held misconceptions.
